NEW YORK, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- AXA XL has named Rana Gillmon as Head of Private Equity Client Relations, Americas, a newly created role dedicated to supporting and advancing the risk management needs of private equity clients.

According to Matt O'Malley, AXA XL's Chief Client & Distribution Officer in the Americas, "Rana's appointment is an important step forward in how we serve the private equity sector across the Americas. Her deep experience in private equity, strong client relationships, and track record leading cross-functional teams will play a key role as we grow our footprint and reinforce our position as a trusted, long-term partner to private equity firms. Rana will be working alongside our Chief Underwriting Officer, Private Equity, John Liantonio, to build our business in this space."

In this new role, Ms. Gillmon will lead AXA XL's private equity client engagement across the Americas. Drawing on her sector experience and strong industry network, she will serve as the primary contact for AXA XL's private equity clients, staying closely aligned with their risk strategies and operational needs. Working with AXA XL's regional and global underwriting teams, she will help deliver tailored insurance solutions and support private equity firms in managing insurance across their portfolio companies to help drive their growth.

With more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, Ms. Gillmon joined AXA XL in 2022 from Chubb, where she served as a Global Client Executive and managed key client relationships in the North America Major Accounts Division. Before Chubb, she spent 16 years at Marsh, holding several key roles, including Portfolio Manager in the firm's Private Equity Mergers & Acquisitions Group. Her work with multinational corporations and global programs also took her to Dubai, where she led Marsh's team for incoming multinational business and oversaw placements and partnerships with local markets across the Gulf Cooperative Council (GCC) region.
