Bishop's University Launches JOIN THE MULTIVERSITY

Canada NewsWire

As artificial intelligence and funding pressures unsettle higher education, Bishop's answers with a recruitment campaign that breaks from the usual script.

SHERBROOKE, QC, Oct. 14, 2026 /CNW/ -- Bishop's University today unveiled Join the Multiversity (Bienvenue à la Multiversité in French), its new campaign, running since Sept. 28 in Québec and Ontario. The campaign presents Bishop's as a university where students stretch their horizons through a multidisciplinary education, a multicultural campus and a community that multiplies connections.

Behind the campaign is a process that began in March 2025 with a study of students, parents and guidance counsellors in Québec and Ontario. One finding stood out: universities tend to tell the same story, and Bishop's strengths were getting lost in it. "The process showed us that Bishop's value lies in how its strengths come together. That clarity changes how we recruit. Our teams now have a single idea to carry, the same across Canada and abroad, in English and in French," said Annick Lambert, Associate Vice-Principal, Recruitment, Marketing and Communications. "Considering the financial pressures the University has been navigating," she adds, "we are especially grateful to the Bishop's University Foundation for making this campaign possible."

Join the Multiversity arrives as Canadian universities emerge from a year of budget cuts and as young people question what a degree will do for them. According to an Ipsos survey commissioned by CourseCompare in August 2025, 46% of Gen Z Canadians are unsure about the value of post-secondary education. "When information is a few seconds away, the value of an education lies in what develops between people: connecting fields of knowledge, understanding those who think differently, leaning on a community. That is what Bishop's offers," said Sébastien Lebel-Grenier, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of Bishop's University.

The campaign, which features current Bishop's students, runs on outdoor and transit boards, in Québec CEGEPs, on social media, YouTube and Spotify, and through partnerships with content creators. It concludes with Bishop's Open House on Nov. 8, 2026. Consult the images and video for the Join the Multiversity media campaign.
