Antithesis Law marks its first anniversary with Raymond Allen hire and Band One Chambers ranking for Managing Shareholder Jodi Green in Psychedelics Law
LOS ANGELES, July 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Antithesis Law P.C., a boutique law firm advising visionary founders and purpose-driven organizations in frontier industries, announced that Raymond Allen, former General Counsel to Burning Man Project and the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), has joined the firm as Of Counsel.
Antithesis includes Of Counsel Matthew Brockmeier and Karina Bashir alongside Allen and founder Jodi Green. Green was recently honored as one of the nation's top psychedelics attorneys, with a Band One ranking in Psychedelics Law by Chambers and Partners, while Brockmeier and Bashir have headlined prominent industry events, including MAPS Psychedelic Science and Chacruna's Psychedelic Culture Conference. Brockmeier, licensed in Colorado, is poised to advise clients under the state's newly-enacted psilocybin and plant medicine law, the Natural Medicine Health Act, while Bashir offers a leading voice on ESG, ethics, and best practices.
Deep Roots in Impact and Innovation
Allen brings more than two decades of experience directing legal strategy for nonprofits and social impact ventures operating in complex regulatory environments. Allen was instrumental in building Burning Man Project's legal department from the ground up and shepherding its evolution from a 35,000-person event into a global phenomenon. At MAPS, Allen oversaw legal, risk, and compliance during a pivotal period in which the organization and its subsidiary, Lykos Therapeutics (formerly MAPS PBC), advanced MDMA-assisted therapy through late-stage clinical trials and raised over $100 million in funding.
"Ray is a unicorn—combining depth, creative strategy, and deep heart in his work," said Jodi Green, Managing Shareholder of Antithesis Law. "He's helped steward some of the most impactful nonprofit and psychedelic organizations in the world, shaping legal frameworks for cultural and therapeutic innovation. We're thrilled and grateful to have him on our team."
Allen's practice at Antithesis Law will focus on corporate and nonprofit law, outside general counsel services, regulatory strategy, and risk management.
"Joining Antithesis Law feels like home for me," said Raymond Allen. "This firm isn't just advising clients—it's partnering with them to create enduring systems that support people, strengthen culture, and drive transformation. I'm honored to be part of that."
