Memoir writer Lorraine Rominger will be featured at the 2026 London Book Fair with a scheduled signing of “The Rangity Tango Kids: The Story of a Fifth-Generation Farm Family in Rural California.” The signing will take place on Wednesday, March 11, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Stand 6A100 on the Ground Floor of Olympia London, where Toronto-based bookstore The Maple Staple is hosting a program of author appearances during the international publishing gathering.
Rominger's memoir revisits life on a multigenerational farm in northern California, capturing childhood memories shaped by family, work, and rural tradition. Set largely during the 1950s and 1960s, the narrative follows a close-knit group of cousins growing up alongside parents and grandparents, learning farm responsibilities at an early age while navigating the humor, conflicts, and strong bonds that defined daily life. Written as both remembrance and preservation, the book reflects the author's desire to document a way of living she sees gradually disappearing, while honoring the influence of her parents and extended family.
Raised in Yolo County near the agricultural town of Winters, Rominger later built a 25-year career spanning music, television, and film, including work with musician Prince and leadership roles within San Francisco's film community. She served as the Deputy Director of the Goldman Environmental Prize for 20 years. Despite her professional life in the Bay Area, her writing frequently returns to the landscapes and experiences of her early years on the farm, which continue to shape her sense of identity and storytelling voice.
During her appearance at The Maple Staple stand, Rominger will meet attendees and sign copies of her memoir, offering readers a chance to connect with the personal history behind the book. More information about the author and her featured title is available through her dedicated page on The Maple Staple's website: https://themaplestaple.com/lbf2026/. Event highlights and ongoing fair coverage will also be shared through The Maple Staple's official social media platforms.
The Rangity Tango Kids is available through Bookside Press at support@booksidepress.com or lorrainerominger.com and through Amazon and other widely accessible international online book platforms.
