Louisiana-Based Fast-Casual Cajun Restaurant Will Open Its 10th Location and First Outside Its Home State
Hattiesburg, MS (RestaurantNews.com) Off The Hook Restaurants, the Louisiana-based fast-casual concept known for serving authentic Cajun food quickly, has announced plans to open its 10th location in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The restaurant, expected to open in fall 2026, will mark the company’s first expansion outside Louisiana.
The new restaurant will be located at 6218 U.S. Highway 98 in Hattiesburg and will introduce the Pine Belt community to Off The Hook’s signature combination of Louisiana flavor, quality ingredients and convenient fast-casual service.
“Opening our 10th restaurant is an exciting milestone for our entire team, and Hattiesburg is the perfect community for Off The Hook’s first location outside Louisiana,” said Paxton Moreaux, CEO of Off The Hook Restaurants. “Hattiesburg has a strong sense of community and a genuine appreciation for great Southern food. We look forward to becoming part of the community and sharing the Cajun flavors that have helped us grow across Louisiana.”
As Off The Hook expands into Mississippi, the company is also bringing several of its longtime Louisiana partners along with it. The Hattiesburg restaurant will serve products from trusted regional brands such as Tabasco, Supreme Rice, Best Stop, Leidenheimer French Bread and Blue Plate Mayonnaise (among many other local favorites), helping Off The Hook deliver the familiar flavors and ingredients that define its menu.
The company also plans to build relationships with local schools, nonprofit organizations, businesses, creators and community leaders throughout the Pine Belt. Off The Hook’s growth has long been supported by strong community partnerships, and the company intends to continue that approach by investing in and collaborating with organizations across Hattiesburg.
Founded in Louisiana, Off The Hook was created to make authentic Cajun cuisine more accessible without sacrificing flavor or quality. Its menu includes wild-caught Gulf shrimp, Louisiana farm-raised catfish, po’boys, burgers, wraps, gumbo, crawfish étouffée, red beans and rice, and the brand’s popular Swamp Fries.
The Hattiesburg restaurant will feature dine-in, drive-thru and takeout service, offering guests a convenient way to enjoy freshly prepared Cajun favorites. The opening will also create new employment opportunities for residents throughout the Hattiesburg area.
The Mississippi expansion represents an important step in Off The Hook’s continued regional growth. The company currently operates nine Louisiana restaurants and remains focused on growing in communities that share its appreciation for Southern hospitality, local culture and bold Gulf Coast flavors.
Additional information regarding the restaurant’s grand opening, hiring opportunities and community celebrations will be announced closer to the opening date.
