RICHMOND, Va., Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Virginia Lawyers Weekly has selected Virginia Housing Chief Counsel Fred Bryant as a 2026 In-House Counsel Awards honoree. The In-House Counsel Awards program recognizes in-house attorneys at all levels who navigate complex contract negotiations, represent their companies in high-stakes litigation, safeguard organizational assets and serve as leaders in the in-house legal community.

For more than 30 years, Fred Bryant has been a key contributor to Virginia Housing's mission to help Virginians attain quality, affordable housing. Since joining the organization in 1993 as associate counsel, he has worked diligently and advanced through the roles of senior counsel, associate general counsel and deputy general counsel before being named chief counsel in 2021. Prior to joining Virginia Housing, Bryant completed clerkships with the Virginia Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court in Abingdon and later worked in private practice.
